December is here and we are so excited!!!

Ever since Madison was born, we have been trying to establish our own holiday traditions. Now that she is a little older and can actively participate, this time of year is filled with so much joy and loads of FUN!

I love seeing the smile on her face as we put up the Christmas tree or her exclamations of satisfaction as she licks the cookie dough from the bowl.  I feel like, with the holiday season, it can be easy to fall into a mode of constant rush, rush, rush... ESPECIALLY when you have lots of family all over the place to visit!

So, I created this Christmas Traditions Calendar (a new tradition for every day leading up to Christmas) to remind us to slowww down and to create and savor the memories.

This morning (December 1), we opened our new Christmas pajamas!
We used to do this on Christmas Eve and would sleep in them that night so that we woke up Christmas morning in our fun new jammies. This was a tradition that I grew up with and I knew I wanted to continue it...but I had to tweak it a little because it just seemed silly to me to wait until Christmas Eve for the new Christmas themed pajamas since kiddos grow SO FAST!!
